The big 1-3!!

We have another teenager in the house! Ethan turned 13 the other day.Crazy! After school, he smashed a cake into pieces, shoved it in his gob with some whipped cream for good measure and then hopped on a boat with the rest of his youth group to stay on another island for the night.

Last night was his party - egg fights, badminton, chocolate game, pizza, movie etc... Hannah ran the whole thing and we stayed out of sight as requested ha! Here are a few photos..

Beautiful spot to spend your birthday and being sung to around the campfire.
Pastor Kris giving the talk.

Our car was as tired as we were the next day, so we jad to get a taxi to church.

Some photos of the youth/church camp from this weekend and the baptisms that were also part of it.

The youth camped out on the Friday night.
About 4 boatloads of us joined them on the Saturday morning.
About 10 people got baptised.
Hannah had 2 of her school friends there.
Soph during a quick walk around the island.
Eth playing beach rugby with some massive Fijian guys-in his element!!!

Last weekend we took 60 or so students away for 3 nights to the PSFC camp down the road. It was great for lots of reasons -the students are fantastic, Tony spoke really well from Ephesians, the food was great and we loved having 3 young guys from one of our link churches in Sydney with us for the week. Very excitingly some of the students commented that they finally felt they could read the bible for themselves and were starting to understand how it all came together. Here are some pics of the weekend.....sorry about the hopeless formatting..
Small group time

Thursday 9 October 2014

Well the holidays are gone and the kids have eased back into the new term with a 3 day week -Fiji Day is Friday so it's a public holiday. It was a bit of a wet, sick 2 weeks -and then the dog went missing for 4 days, which is good or bad depending on who you ask in the family. The kids were a bit too excited when we finally got the sliding door fixed -if that's any indication as to how bored they were. But like I was saying every 4 minutes "boring people get bored", so they managed to find some fun stuff to do on their own -and altogether when Tony was well enough. Here are a few pics.
Soph's school friend invited us to go and watch her singing performance.
Visiting some friends on their holiday on the coast.
Hannah getting arty with the camera.
Investigating the neighbourhood "haunted house"
Some painting we did on the wetter days.
Bit of a slow day.
