I
thought I would start this “blog”- and I use that term loosely as most of
the ones I read are thought provoking and inspiring - as a way for
family and friends to keep up with what we are up to during our time in
Melbourne and beyond. It will also be a visual record of our time as
missionaries, that the kids will be able to look back on in years to
come.
| Our cat "Scoomy" that we sadly had to leave behind. |
Next
stop was Womboyn,a small fishing town with only one shop. You could
swing a cat and hit all ten houses! We loved it!! Hannah loved the hot
chips and chicken salt, Ethan loved his catch of 2 fish and Soph was
pretty happy singing into the fan and laughing at how different her
voice sounded….simple pleasures.
Always thought I was an outdoor-sey kind of gal, until I spotted an enormous black goanna and, in order to stay safe, pushed my 7 year old in front of me and almost into a bush.......proud parenting moment # 73!!
Wednesday 25th
January was the day we arrived at St Andrews Hall in Melbourne. We set
up the 3 bedroom unit, were given some great spaghetti by some other
residents here and then headed out to explore the neighbourhood. All the
essentials are on the very same street- K-MART, 7-eleven,Coles and
medical centre.....in that order!Always thought I was an outdoor-sey kind of gal, until I spotted an enormous black goanna and, in order to stay safe, pushed my 7 year old in front of me and almost into a bush.......proud parenting moment # 73!!
Very excited to discover the resident cat “Tilly” – mainly because its name is the same as the cousins dog.
Off to a good start.
